I don’t regret leaving Kotoko – Franck Etouga Mbella

Former Asante Kotoko forward Franck Etouga Mbella has dispelled growing suggestions that he has regretted leaving Ghanaian club, Kotoko to seek greener pastures after only a season with them.



The Cameroonian international took the betPawa Premier League by storm and wowed fans with his predatory striking abilities. 

In the 2021/22 season, the striker managed to score 21 goals in 24 appearances for Kotoko helping them to clinch the league title for that season.

Mbella’s performances for Kotoko caught the attention of a host of clubs with Egyptian club, Al Masry firming up their interest with an offer worth $400,000.



In a recent media interview, he disclosed that, his focus was to help the club win the league and veer into other prospects off his lives which he is currently doing and not looking back.

 “I made a choice to leave Asante Kotoko after helping them win the league title and I do not regret any decision to leave the team,” he told 

“I’m a professional player and I stay focused to attain my goals in life. Currently, my focus is on Al Masry and to help the team win glories” he told Ghanasportspage.com.

The 21-year-old has scored a goal in eight games for Al Masry, Egypt.
