Swedru All Blacks produced a spirited performance to beat Kotoko by a lone goal at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

The home side beat Kotoko last season home and away and were looking to build on that impressive feat at home.

The first half produced no goals with the home team coming close to scoring, with three crucial saves denied by goalkeeper, Aziz Dari Haruna who was equal to the task.

The second half began with a lot of intensity and it continued with the home team dominating  with 65% possession and (12 shots, 10 on target).

With what looked like a goalless game, Vincent Baah Junior was needlessly bundled in the box by Patrick Asiedu leaving referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe with little option to blow his whistle for a penalty for the home team.

Eric Darkwah Wiafe stepped up and expertly converted for the first goal and match winner for the Black Magicians.

The results puts All Blacks up to 8th on the log.

Meanwhile , Kotoko will regroup against Young Apostles for their next Ghana Premier League fixture.

This victory highlighted All Blacks’ ability to upset bigger clubs and provided a boost in their campaign.
