Accra Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Port City FC on Sunday.

Young forward Frank Abora Duku scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute, giving the Phobians a first-half lead at the expense of the debutants,Port City.

The 21-year-old striker headed home an inch- perfect cross from Ransford Mensah to open the barren game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

This was the first time the pair were meeting in the league.

The debutants controlled large portions of the game but lacked the clinical edge to see off the Rainbow boys who flattered to deceive at home.

The result lifts Hearts of Oak up to second on the league log, three points adrift defending champions, Medeama SC.

They play Vision next while Port City will welcome Dreams FC.
