CAFCC : Dreams take on Zamalek in Kumasi

Ghana Premier League club, Dreams FC will look to secure qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup finals as they play host to Zamalek at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.


The MTN FA Cup champions managed to draw goalless away from home in Egypt, giving them extra motivation heading into the second leg of the semi-finals in Kumasi.

The Ghanaian side has enjoyed a rollercoaster run, topping their group to emerge 3-2 victors over Malian side, Stade Malien in a two-legged tie. 

The youthful side boasts of, Abdul Aziz, Agyenim Boateng Mensah, Solomon Agbasi, Abdul Jalilu, Emmanuel Agyei, Derrick Agyei, Godfred Atuahene, and the desirable experience of John Antwi, who has seen it all on the African space will hop to lead the setup to the finals in their maiden participation.

Meanwhile, two sets of Zamalek teams arrived in the country on Tuesday and Thursday and have gone ahead to train at the Paa Joe Sports Complex in KNUST to familiarize themselves ahead of the big encounter against their host

The second leg showdown is set for Baba Yara Sports Stadium on April 28, 2024, at 4: 00 pm local time.
