Nations FC knocked out of CAF Confederation Cup after 1-1 draw with FC Diarra.
The Abrankese-based side saw their maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign end on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Mali’s FC Diarra in the second leg of their preliminary-round tie at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The FA Cup holders needed to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit from Bamako (September 5) but could only manage a draw, exiting 2-1 on aggregate.
The away team got the first goal in the 75th minute, but the home team managed to get their act back, levelling nine minutes later.
The elimination leaves Ghana without a representative in the group stages of either the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup or the CAF Champions League, following Medeama SC’s earlier exit.
Nations FC will now turn their attention to the Division One League.
