Newly appointed Hearts of Oak coach, Slavko Matic has assured fans that, he is here to win trophies for club.
In his first interview, the Serbian trainer admitted that, coaching in Africa is a very big challenge but is ready to make a name for the club and himself.
Slavko Matic explained that, his sole purpose at the club is win trophies and he will deliver. Speaking to the club’s media team, he said:

“I want to thank our board chairman (Togbe Afede) and all the management for this opportunity. Africa is a big challenge and coming in a big club, we want to make a big success.
“We want to find a way to play good football and give the chance to all the players. Also, we want to take the trophies. As I say, Africa is a big challenge, I come to a very big club, from today is the best club in the world,”
Matic is a holder of the UEFA Pro Licence. In his playing days, he played for OFK Beograd, Spartak Moscow, PFC Slavia Sofia and PFC CSKA Sofia.
He has coached in Serbia, Qatar and also, Saudi Arabia. Hearts of Oak fans are looking forward to what Matic will bring as he replaces Samuel Boadu who won 5 out of a possible 6 trophies for the club.
