Prince Obeng Ampem completes transfer to Turkish side, Eyupspor

Ghana’s Prince Obeng Ampem has completed his transfer to Turkish side, Eyupspor.



Prince Obeng Ampem, the Ghanaian forward, has completed a permanent transfer to Turkish club Eyüpspor Kulubu.

The 25-year-old winger is set to join the Turkish 1. Lig team for the 2023-24 season, departing from Croatian top-flight club HNK Rijeka, where he spent two seasons.

During his time at Rijeka, Obeng Ampem made a total of 81 appearances in various competitions, impressively contributing 10 goals and 13 assists.

Prior to joining HNK Rijeka in July 2021, the talented player represented WAFA SC and HNK Sibenik, where he had a notable run of three seasons, accumulating 96 appearances, 19 goals, 7 assists, and successfully helping the team secure promotion to the Croatian top division.

Obeng Ampem’s football journey began when he made the move from the Ghana Premier League to Croatia in February 2018. Over five seasons, he played a total of 177 matches across all competitions.

Eyüpspor concluded the 2022-23 season in 6th place but unfortunately missed out on promotion to the Turkish top-flight during the promotion playoffs, where they were defeated in the final by Bodrumspor.
