Otto Addo apologizes for comment on US Referee in opening game

Ghana BlackStars coach Otto Addo has sincerely apologized for comments he made about USA referee, Ismail Elfath following his side’s 3-2 loss to Portugal in the opening group game at Stadium 974 in Qatar.

Ghana was looking to avenge their 2014 defeat to Portugal, but it didn’t go according to plan as they lost to the European powerhouse under controversial circumstances.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored from a penalty spot. Many including Coach Otto Addo felt the referee should have consulted the VAR for a better judgment in decision making which he opted against but went on to give the penalty.
