Great Olympics change home venue for Ghana Premier League games

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has given Great Olympics permission to play their remaining home games at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

This decision was made in response to a request from the club, as they found it expensive to play matches in Accra.

The GFA’s competitions department thoroughly reviewed the club’s reasons and subsequently approved the request, as it aligned with the earlier approval of the Accra Sports Stadium and WAFA Park as Great Olympics’ primary and alternate venues, respectively, at the beginning of the season.

The team’s choice to shift their home games to the WAFA Park is a strategic decision to reduce the high cost of playing in Accra.

The club’s financial constraints have made it increasingly difficult for them to continue playing their home games at the Accra Sports Stadium.

As a result, the club requested to play their home games at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, which was approved by the Ghana Football Association.

The decision to change the home venue will be a major relief for the club, who have been struggling financially in recent times

Great Olympics will now hope that the change of venue does not have any negative impact on their performance and that they can maintain their best level to avoid relegation, as they are currently in the bottom three.
