Ghana’s Ibrahim Sulemana excited above his move to Cagliari.



Following an impressive season with Verona, the highly talented 20-year-old player completed his move to another Serie A club on Saturday.

Sulemana played a crucial part in Verona’s successful bid to secure their Serie A status, notably contributing to their 3-1 victory over Spezia in the play-off match. His exceptional performances caught the attention of Cagliari, resulting in his transfer to the club.

Having signed a contract that extends until June 2027, with a possible additional year, Sulemana decided to join Cagliari over an approach from Bologna.

Expressing his excitement on Instagram, the defensive midfielder shared his joy in joining the club and eagerly awaits the upcoming season.

“I am thrilled to be part of this incredible club. I can’t wait to start this new chapter in my career. Forza Cagliari,” Sulemana posted on his Instagram account.

Sulemana’s journey in Italian football commenced with the Atalanta youth team before moving to Verona U19 in July 2021. Within a year, he earned a promotion to the senior team, showcasing his potential and skills.

During the Primavera 1 2021-22 championship, Sulemana made 17 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

He made his Serie A debut on October 9, 2022, against Salernitana and went on to accumulate 17 appearances in the recently concluded season, playing a pivotal role in Verona’s successful relegation play-off against Spezia.
