Ghana captain Andre Ayew joins French side Le Havre

Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has sealed a move to France to join Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC for the remainder of the season.


Ayew’s recently left English Premier League side Nottingham Forest at the end of last season and has been unattached to a club until now.

Elsner’s team has been very solid since the start of the season, 6th on the log.
The French side will be counting on his immeasurable experience as they surmount the tides of the Ligue 1.
The Ghanaian started from Marseille and played with Swansea, Westham, Fenerbahce (Turkey), Al–Sadd (Qatar), and lastly for Nottingham Forest in the English Premiership.
The 33-year-old is one of twenty-five players that was called by Chris Hughton for the double 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros Island next week.

He will be presented to the Ligue 1 fans before the game against Monaco this evening.
