The Ghana Football Association has issued a stern warning to persons who have targeted the association with malicious and defamatory claims.
Ghana’s exit from the ongoing World Cup has been met with serious wrath from fans and the media in general.
Many issues have popped up with numerous accusations being leveled against the Ghana Football Association.

The Ghana FA has issued a warning against persons who they believe are maliciously peddling falsehoods aimed at courting disaffection for the association.
The statement read: “The GFA has since kept an open mind and continues to listen and receive comments, suggestions, and ideas from well-meaning Ghanaians both home and abroad for the improvement of the team.”
“Unfortunately, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has noticed that a few persons are deliberately maligning and defaming the GFA and the Black Stars brand in an attempt to manufacture a non-existent scandal about the team.”
“While the Association will continue to encourage feedback and opinions (devoid of insults, personal attacks, and brand devaluation), the destruction of the brand from deliberate lies, misinformation and defamatory comments must be curbed, as the Black Stars remains a global brand that unites all Ghanaians.”
“The Ghana Football Association has therefore instructed its lawyers to institute legal action against persons who defame the Association, its officials, and products and destroy the Black Stars brand as well as the media platforms used to do same.
“The legal forum will provide the opportunity for these persons to bring any evidence to substantiate their allegations.”
“The Association will continue to encourage opinions and comments being expressed aimed at improving the team and the brand.”
“Once again, the Association wishes to express its profound gratitude to all persons and stakeholders for their positive suggestions and ideas towards the improvement of the team and the Football Association.”
The Black Stars exit from the tournament in the group stage has led to several conspiracy theory claims and tales about money sharing scheme by the FA.
Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has voiced concern over the state of football facilities in Ghana, saying inadequate infrastructure is damaging the game’s attractiveness.
The local league’s appeal over the years has dwindled with many calling for immediate action to be taken to salvage the situation.
Speaking to Kumasi based radio station, Ahenfie FM, he expunge on the poor infrastructure in the country which has reduced the appeal of the Ghana Premier League and football in general.
“The poor infrastructure is making our football less attractive.” he ended
His comments highlight ongoing challenges facing the development of football in the country, from grassroots level to the professional game
The 35-year-old, who earned 78 caps and scored 11 goals for the Black Stars between 2008 and 2017, began his career with local sides Berlin FC and Berekum Arsenal before a loan spell at Asante Kotoko.
He later returned to the Ghana Premier League with Accra Great Olympics in 2022–23 after a long career in Europe.

Hearts of Oak secured a crucial 1-0 win over Port City FC at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, ending a three-match winless run in the Ghana Premier League.
Frank Duku’s 20th-minute goal was enough to separate the sides and hand the Phobians three points against the newly promoted outfit.
Despite the win, head coach Nebojša Kapor was left frustrated about the poor state of the Legon pitch.
“This is not our stadium; it’s a national stadium. Ghana football has serious problems with proper pitches,” Kapor said after the match.
