GFA announce partnership with TECNO Ghana as its official smartphone partner.



The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formalized a collaboration with TECNO Ghana, a prominent smartphone entity, designating it as the official smartphone associate.

This accord was officially ratified on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Wesley Tower situated in Accra, Ghana.

During the signing event, key figures from the GFA such as President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, Vice President Mark Addo, and executive council members including Nana Sarfo Oduro, Samuel Aboabire, and Eugene Nobel were in attendance.

Representing TECNO Ghana were notable individuals including Channel Manager Ernest Sonkoh, Imax Media’s CEO and National Agent Maxwell Tachie, Ricky Wang, who serves as the Country Manager of Transmission and interim General Manager for West Africa, Lolon Luo as the Brand Manager for TECNO Ghana, and Rocket Li, the National Marketing Manager.

As per the terms delineated in the alliance, TECNO Ghana commits to extending financial backing and supplying smartphones to GFA’s officials and players. In reciprocation, the GFA pledges to endorse TECNO Ghana’s offerings and initiatives across multiple platforms, encompassing social media, events, and promotional endeavors.

This collaboration aspires to harness football’s influence to motivate and uplift the youth in Ghana, utilizing the sport as an instrument for societal progress and communal involvement.

Through this partnership,  both TECNO Ghana and the GFA endeavor to channel enthusiasm towards meaningful outcomes, converting potential into tangible accomplishments and aspirations into realizations for Ghana’s younger generation.
