German side Rot-Weiss Essen sign Aaron Frimpong Manu on two-year deal.

German-born Ghanaian center-back Aaron Frimpong Manu has finalized a transfer to Rot-Weiss Essen, a team in the Bundesliga 3, by signing a two-year contract.

After the conclusion of the recent season, the 23-year-old defender completed his move to Stadion Essen following the expiration of his contract with Rot-Weiß Erfurt, a fourth-tier side in the Regionalliga.

The signing of Manu was officially announced by Rot-Weiss Essen, with a statement confirming his acquisition.

The statement mentioned that Aaron Manu, a 1.94-meter-tall central defender, previously played for FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt, where he finished third in the last regional league season. He has now signed a contract with Rot-Weiss Essen until 2025.

During the 2022/2023 campaign in the Regionalliga Northeast, Manu showcased his abilities by appearing in 30 league matches for Rot-Weiß Erfurt. He made valuable contributions to the team, scoring one goal and providing two assists throughout the season.

As a player of Ghanaian descent who was born and raised in Germany, Manu remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.

The move to Rot-Weiss Essen provides Manu with an opportunity to further develop his skills and potentially catch the attention of Ghana’s national team selectors.
