Nora Hauptle, the coach of the Black Queens, has encouraged both players and members of the technical team to savor the team’s achievements during the upcoming Christmas break.

The Swiss coach led Ghana to qualify for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), a noteworthy accomplishment for the team.

In a challenging final round of qualifiers, the Black Queens secured an admirable 3-2 aggregate victory over Namibia.

In a post-match interview after the second leg game on Tuesday, Coach Nora Hauptle expressed her pride in the team’s achievements, noting the impressive performance in winning 10 out of 11 games this year.

“I’m proud of this year; we won out of 11, 10 games, and I think we can have a nice Christmas,”

The qualification for the 2024 WAFCON tournament is a significant milestone for the Black Queens, marking their return to the continental stage after a five-year hiatus.

As the team anticipates participation in the prestigious competition in Morocco, Hauptle underscores the importance of celebrating the year’s successes during the festive season.
