Ghana Black Stars captain Andre Ayew was absent from Black Stars Wednesday session as the team prepare for their second game against Gabon in the group stages of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Andre Ayew was present in the recovery session on Tuesday but was not present in the second training. Several reports suggest the player is unwell, and the team doctors are monitoring the injury he sustained in defeat against Morocco.
The team doctor assured reporters after yesterday’s training session that Ayew will be available for the second group game despite the injury scare.
Black Stars will take on Gabon at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé on Friday 14 January 2022 in the next round.
