South African coach Roger De Sa, Ghana has confirmed that he is readying up to join BlackStars’ head coach Carlos Queiroz’s backroom staff on Thursday,23,March,2026.
The 61-year-old has been a long time friend of the Portugese trainer, Queiroz.

The Mozambique-born duo have been involved in a number of portfolios, Portugal (2010), Egypt (2021), Iran (2022) and Qatar national team.
Speaking to KickOffMagazine, he confirmed his imminent departure to Ghana.
“I’ll fly out on Thursday to Accra to start working straight away. It’s all it is; we will do the best we can. There is no mandate to win this and that. The job is to go to the World Cup and fly the Ghanaian flag as high as possible,” he ended
De Sa is expected to shore up the technical department with his immense knowledge acquired in the football fraternity over the years.
In a related development, Carlos Queiroz will address the local media in a press conference on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra at 1:00 PM.
Ghana will play two friendly games against Mexico and Wales, then later kick-start the 2026 World Cup.
The Black Stars are housed in a group alongside Panama, England, and Croatia.
