The stage is set for a thrilling finale in the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League as Hasaacas Ladies FC take on Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC on Sunday, April 19 at the Swedru Stadium.

Both teams earned their spots after topping their respective zones and will renew their rivalry in what will be their seventh meeting in a league final. Hasaacas come into this clash with a slight edge, having defeated Ampem Darkoa 2-1 earlier this season in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The Sekondi-based Hasaacas Ladies have been dominant in the Southern Zone, finishing with 40 points from 18 matches. Their campaign has been built on defensive discipline, conceding just six goals all season, with goalkeeper Grace Banwa leading the way with 12 clean sheets. In attack, they have relied on a collective effort, with key contributions from across the squad.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies, champions of the Northern Zone, arrive with firepower and confidence after scoring an impressive 45 goals in the campaign. Their title push has been spearheaded by Ajegipena Zakaria, who has netted 13 times, alongside strong support from Victoria Banful, Priscilla Okyere, Linda Owusu Ansah, and Mariam Olawumi. Goalkeeper Aishetu Fatao Awinimi has also contributed with three clean sheets.

With Hasaacas chasing a sixth league title and Ampem Darkoa aiming for their fifth, Sunday’sn encounter promises to be a fiercely contested battle.

Kickoff is set for 3:00pm at the Swedru Stadium.
