Ghanaian midfielder Linda Owusu Ansah has officially completed a move to Canadian side AFC Toronto following an impressive spell with Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
The announcement was made on Friday, May 22, 2026, with the talented attacking midfielder sealing a long-term deal with the Northern Super League outfit as she begins a new chapter in her career abroad.
Owusu Ansah leaves Ampem Darkoa Ladies after playing a vital role in the club’s recent success over the past few seasons. She was part of the historic Ampem Darkoa squad that represented Ghana at the CAF Women’s Champions League and also contributed significantly to the club’s fifth Women’s Premier League title triumph.
Her performances at both club and national level have continued to attract attention, especially after helping Ghana’s Black Princesses qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The midfielder scored a crucial equaliser against Uganda in Kampala during the qualifiers, a result that secured Ghana’s ticket to the global tournament.
The move to AFC Toronto is seen as a major step forward for the young Ghanaian, who is expected to continue her development in the growing Canadian women’s football scene.
At her new club, Owusu Ansah will also share the dressing room with top African talents, including Nigerian international Esther Okoronkwo.
Her transfer adds to the growing list of Ghanaian women footballers securing moves abroad following strong performances in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League and on the international stage.
