Ghana Black Princesses forward Agnes Yeboah has taken a major step in her career after completing a permanent move from Ghana Women’s Premier League side Jonina Ladies to Chinese Women’s Super League club Guangdong Meizhou Women Football Club.
The talented forward joins the Chinese outfit ahead of the second half of the 2026 league season, opening a new chapter in her rapidly developing career.
Yeboah has already made her competitive debut for Guangdong Meizhou, featuring in the number 35 jersey during the club’s league encounter against Sichuan Women over the weekend.
The Ghanaian attacker was handed 53 minutes of action in her first appearance, although her new side was unable to secure a positive result.
Her move to China comes after an impressive period with Jonina Ladies, where she emerged as a key figure and captained the team during the 2025/26 season. She also helped the club reach the semifinals of the Ghana Women’s FA Cup.
On the international stage, Yeboah played an important role in the Black Princesses’ successful qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
With the global tournament scheduled for September, the move offers the highly-rated youngster an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a new football environment as she continues her development ahead of the World Cup.
Yeboah’s transfer also represents another significant step for a promising Ghanaian women’s football talent making the transition from the domestic game to an international league.
