Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face Benin’s FC Dynamique in the semi-finals of the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m. GMT.
The Nana Mma booked their place at the top of Group B after coming from behind to beat Nigeria’s Edo Queens 2-1 in their final group match.
Edo Queens took the lead in the 11th minute, but Ampem Darkoa returned strongly after the break.
Rebecca Assemani, who was named Woman of the Match, scored the equaliser immediately after the restart to bring the Ghanaian champions back into the contest.
Ampem Darkoa then completed the comeback in the 78th minute when Milot Pokuaa scored from a direct free kick to seal the 2-1 victory.
The result saw Ampem Darkoa finish top of Group B with a perfect record of three wins from three matches, having previously defeated defending champions ASEC Mimosas 1-0 and AS Garde Nationale 4-0. The Ghanaian champions scored seven goals and conceded only once during the group stage.
Their semi-final opponents, FC Dynamique, reached the last four as Group A runners-up after a difficult group-stage campaign. The Benin side lost 3-0 to hosts USFA before playing a goalless draw against ASKO de Kara. They progressed with one point and without scoring after ASKO suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to USFA.
The other semi-final will see hosts USFA take on Edo Queens at 3:00 p.m. GMT, in a fascinating contest between USFA’s strong defensive record and Edo Queens’ dangerous attack.
With two places in the final at stake, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run and move one step closer to winning the WAFU B title and securing the zone’s sole qualification ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
