AFCON 2023Q: Jordan, Kudus, Djiku start as Dede dropped to the bench against C.A.R

Chris Hughton has named his starting eleven that would face off against the Central African Republic in the ultimate round of qualifying games of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Experienced forward, Jordan Ayew would captain the side in place of his senior brother and captain, Dede Ayew, who has been benched for the game against CAR for this afternoon’s clash in Kumasi.

Kudus will operate in the hole behind Inaki Williams while Jordan and Osman Bukari will play out wide and look to contribute to the game.

Hughton looks to preserve his unbeaten run since taking over the reins as head coach of the Black Stars, having won one and drawn two in three matches.

Ghana will be without key men Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, and Joseph Paintsil due to injuries, but that will take a little toll on the team as the majority of the stars are available for selection.
