Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has dismissed suggestions that he would alter his approach ahead of the AFCON qualifiers.
Since his appointment as interim head coach ahead of the World Cup, most Ghanaians have been critical of his cautious approach calling it boring and non attacking.
Responding to questions about adapting his methods ahead of Ghana’s 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign, the experienced Portuguese coach was blunt.
“My style is winning,“I’ve never seen a coach that was sacked only because of style. They are sacked because they’re not winning.” he said
Queiroz will hope to get the full compliment of his squad ahead of the opening Group F fixtures against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
Sadly, Mohammed Kudus and Prince Kwabena Adu have withdrawn from the squad.
Brandon Thomas Asante, Mohammed Fuseini and Ibrahim Rahim have been called up as replacements.
