    MTN FA Cup : Dreams FC, King Faisal march on as Aduana, RTU fall off

    The Ghana Premier League took a back seat for the MTN FA Cup quarter finals to take centre stage across varied match venues in the country.



    On good Friday, two Premier League teams, Dreams FC and Legon Cities went head-to-head for a ticket in the semi-finals of the ongoing competition, an Ebenezer Addae goal deep into extra-time proved the match winner to aid the host into their second successive semi-finals in two seasons.

    The Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium hosted Real Tamale Untied and newly promoted side, Nsoatreman FC, who gave fans their monies worth but at the end of the referee’s whistle, the latter run off with the victory courtesy a Philip Ofori goal in the first half of the game.

    King Faisal progressed via a penalty shoot-out  after a draw 2-2 with Aduana Stars in regulation time.
