Lawrence Agyekum on target for FC Liefering’s win over Dornbirn

Ghanaian youth star, Lawrence Agyekum was on target for FC Liefering in the Austria Liga 2 as they thumped Dornbirn away from home on Sunday.



The 19-year old attacking midfielder was handed a starting berth in the side and didn’t disappoint in his outing for the club.

The away side first shot into the lead, through, Zeteny Jano in the 26th minute, not later than ten minutes, the enterprising hotshot added his side’s second of the game.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net from his base in Austria, the young midfielder said he was always looking forward to breaking his goal drought for this season.

“I have been working on it for a while now, there are some game that I come close to scoring but it didn’t happen, today’s game like this anticipated the ball coming towards me and reacted quickly to it’’.

Asked whether, this goal will be the many of others to come, he replied with a smile “Let’s hope so, because I can’t wait to score again. It’s a great feeling to score my club” he ended.

Agyekum has become a mainstay with the club, featuring in fifteen separate league appearances with a goal to his credit.

Liefering FC will play host to BW Linz in round twenty-three of the ongoing Austria Liga 2.
