Medeama have been crowned Champions of Champions after defeating Nations FC 2-0 at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday.
Fatawu Sulemana converted a 28th-minute penalty to put the home side ahead.
Former Nations forward Emmanuel Annor doubled Medeama’s advantage in the second half with a well-taken goal to put the result beyond doubt.
The victory will give the Mauve and Yellow team the needed boost ahead of their CAF Champions League tie against Congolese giants TP Mazembe.
The game is set for September 6 as the first leg of their preliminary-round tie at the TnA Park Stadium.
Nations FC will also begin their continental campaign, travelling to Mali to face Diarra FC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round on Saturday, September 5.
