The Abrankese witnessed a four-goals thriller between relegation stationed, King Faisal and Legon Cities in the penultimate round of games in the betPawa Premier League.

The host before this game was one of three teams scrabbling for their lives as they drooled in the relegation zone and with this game up on the cards, nothing but a win was all they needed at the end of game proceedings.

Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu was a man under immense pressure tasked to save the dwindling fortunes of the Kumasi-based club, it was least surprising to see them go ahead through an Abdul Latif’s expertly taken spot kick in the 29th minute of the game.

Match Preview and Prediction: King Faisal vs Legon Cities

‘The Insha Allah Boys’ with an advantage from the first half came into the second half with supreme confidence, Latif bagged a brace in the 69th minute of the game.

Ebenezer Armegah reduced the deficit for the traveling side in the 76th minute.

Baba Yahaya added his side’s third on the day with a beautiful curling ball into the roof of the net to restore their two goals advantage in the game.

The results see, King Faisal is still in the drop zone and will need some magic wand as they travel away to the North to face off with RTU in the final day games.

Meanwhile, Maxwell Konadu’s Legon Cities have all to play for in their final game away to Samartex to secure their safety in the league for next season, 2023/24.
