Bofoakwa Tano failed to make the most of their home superiority as they drew Accra Lions in game week seven of the betPawa Premier League on Friday at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The White and Green side were looking to pick a win at home after drawing GoldStars a week earlier but they failed to bask maximum points at home in a game they were largely tipped to win.

The host took the lead through Fuseini Najib Ibrahim scored a volley in the fifth minute of the game to send the home side into ruptures.

The second half lived up with some scintillating open play football by both sides, Najib and Saaka Dauda nearly got his side the cushioning goal but Daniel Afful was equal to the task for Accra Lions.

The traveling side found their all-important equalizer through Daniel Awuni in the 70th minute.

The draw sees Bofoakwa Tano climb up to the summit of the table while Accra Lions are a point above the drop zone.
