Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle has given a late call-up to forward Philomena Abaka for the forthcoming 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers against Benin.

The statement indicated, “Former Simba Queens forward, Philomena Abaka, has received a last-minute summons to join the Black Queens in Benin for the second round of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.”

“Philomena returned to the Ghanaian side, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, a few months ago following a brief stint with the Tanzanian giants.”

“She recently displayed her talents for Ampem Darkoa during the Women’s Premier Super Cup in Kyebi. This opportunity arose as Army Ladies’ Adama Alhassan was unable to join the squad in Benin.”

The Black Queens are determined to maintain their impressive form by securing victory in the first leg and ultimately earning qualification in the second leg, scheduled for next week on Tuesday, October 31.
