    GFA sets September dates for 2026/27 Ghana premier league season

    The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the dates for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, with top-flight action set to return in September.



    The new campaign will kick off on the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude over the weekend of May 28–31, 2027.

    This is to enable clubs to get their acts together, plan, and organize their airtenary for next season’s domestic league.
    The GFA has confirmed that the 2026/27 Access Bank Division One League will kick off over the weekend of September 18–21, 2026, with opening fixtures set to take place across all three zones.

    As things stand, Medeama SC are inches away from sealing the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with five games to go.
