    Ghana Premier League club, Kotoko have appointed Dutch-Surinamese football legend Stanley Menzo as the club’s new Technical Director. 

    The appointment forms part of the club’s long-term strategy to strengthen its technical leadership. modernize its football operations, and restore the Porcupine Warriors to the summit of domestic and continental football.

    Menzo is well known in the football circles as former goalkeeper in the 1980’s  and 90’s for his heroics.

    He went on to establish himself as a cult hero with Dutch club, Ajax Amsterdam winning several club and individual awards, notably, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup and the UEFA Cup.

    He had managerial stints with club such as FC Volendam, Ajax Cape Town in South Africa, and Chinese side Beijing Guoan and Technical Manager of the Aruba national team.

    The 62-year old was in charge of the Suriname national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.

    Kotoko who failed to win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will rely on his vast experience to shape the technical direction of the club domestically and position it strategically on the continent in the forseable future.
