Two of Ghana’s representatives, Medeama SC and Dreams FC made the country proud as they bagged home victories in their respective duels in Africa’s inter-club competition.

Ghana Premier League champions were unlucky to have gone behind on the 39th-minute mark after midfielder Abdelraouf Benguit converted his spot kick for the visitors.

But on the stroke of halftime, there was redemption for the host, former WAFA product, Daniel Lomotey rose highest to head home a Kamaradini Mamudu free-kick for the equalizer.

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

Provider of the first goal, Kamaradini Mamudu turned scorer nodding home a sweet cross from the right foot off, Kwadwo Amoako to edge the game, 2-1.

The Yellow and Mauves hope to build on this win as they host Tanzanian Champions Young Africans SC in a fortnight at the same venue.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, MTN FA Cup winners, Dreams FC began their home campaign with a win over Nigeria outfit, Rivers United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

    WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

A goal each from nomadic forward, John Antwi and the exciting Abdul Aziz Issah was enough for the host but a late equalizer from midfielder Alex Oyowah wasn’t enough to ruin the party for the host as they marked their first spell in Africa with a home won.

Dreams FC will travel away to Academica do Lobito, Angola on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
