Watch Highlights: Dreams FC secure win over Rivers United in CAF CC

Ghana Premier League club, Dreams FC marked their first CAF Confederations Cup home game with a win over Rivers United from Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.



The Ghanaian side was on the losing end a few days ago as they lost away to Club Africain from Tunisia in the opening game of the campaign.

Following that loss, the Dawu-based club was determined to give a good account of themselves, experienced figurehead, John Antwi gave the host that important breakthrough as he got on the end of a teasing cross from Eric Boateng in the 35th minute of the game. 

WATCH HIGHLIGHTS :

Exciting Abdul Aziz Issah grabbed the second goal of the game for the host at the 74th-minute mark to set the fans ablaze with excitement and joy in the stadium. 

There was some late drama in the game as midfielder Alex Oyowah squeezed in a consolation goal for the Nigeria side.

Dreams FC will fancy their chances against Will Academica do Lobito, Angola on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Meanwhile, Tunisia’s Club Africain basked an emphatic 3-1 away win over Angola’s Academica do Lobito.
