Cabfix Ladies FC have ended their Cheetah Cup 2026 campaign with a bronze medal finish after a competitive run at the preseason tournament held in Senya Beraku.
The Division One side secured third place after being awarded a 3-0 victory in the third-place playoff following Sissamba Ladies’ inability to honour the fixture.
The bronze medal finish capped an impressive tournament outing for Cabfix Ladies, who continued to showcase their quality against both local and international opposition during the competition.
Cabfix’s journey to the podium included notable individual performances, with two players earning Player of the Match awards.
Forward Beatrice Ati claimed the first award after her outstanding display in Cabfix’s second group game against El-Wonder Ladies FC, while Jessica Benni was named Player of the Match in the decisive group encounter against El-Wonder Ladies, where Cabfix secured qualification to the knockout stage.
The team also received the Fair Play Award, recognising their discipline and conduct throughout the competition.
Cabfix’s campaign featured a dramatic qualification route after changes to Group B following the withdrawal of some participating teams. With the group reduced to three teams, Cabfix competed alongside Valued Ladies FC and El-Wonder Ladies FC in an all-play-all format.
After losing their opening game 2-0 to Valued Ladies FC and drawing 0-0 with El-Wonder Ladies FC, Cabfix were involved in a final decider against El-Wonder Ladies for the remaining semi-final slot.
In a thrilling encounter, Cabfix played out a 2-2 draw with El-Wonder Ladies before winning 4-2 on penalties, with goalkeeper Belinda Maku Aklie producing heroics by scoring one penalty and saving two during the shootout to send the team through.
Cabfix’s semi-final journey came to an end after a 2-1 defeat to Nigerian side Fefcan Ladies, but the team bounced back to secure a podium finish.
In the final, Fefcan Ladies were crowned champions of the Cheetah Cup 2026 after defeating Valued Ladies FC 1-0 to lift the trophy.
The Cheetah Cup 2026, which featured both men’s and women’s teams with participation from clubs outside Ghana, served as part of Cabfix Ladies FC’s preparations ahead of the new season as they continue their development in the GARFA Women’s Division One League.
With a bronze medal, a Fair Play Award and impressive individual recognitions, Cabfix Ladies leave Senya Beraku with valuable experience and positive momentum ahead of the upcoming campaign.
