Ghana international midfielder Kwasi Sibo has agreed to join Libyan side Al-Swehly on a free transfer after his contract with Spanish club Real Oviedo expired.
The 28-year-old, who featured for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, travelled to Cairo on Monday, August 24, where Al-Swehly were holding a training camp ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round campaign.
He has signed a three-year deal after successful medicals.
The transfer follows the collapse of a proposed move to Turkish Super Lig club Gençlerbirliği.
Al-Swehly, the reigning Libyan league champions, reportedly tabled a highly lucrative package—described in some reports as around $5 million—that made the midfielder one of Ghana’s highest-earning players.
