Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has sealed his long-awaited move to Al-Tai in the Saudi Professional League.

The attacking midfielder penned a two-year deal with the Gulf club following an end to his career with Kayserispor in the just-ended season.

Mensah gained popularity after securing a deal from Portuguese outfit, Vitoria Guimaraes to Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old failed to make a mark at the Spanish club and had to be loaned out to Getafe CF, Kasimpasa, and Vitoria Guimaraes, Besiktas, Kayserispor before concretizing his move at the latter, where he went on to play for four seasons.

In between his loan session, the skillful midfielder, won the Turkish league and the Turkish Cup, going on to make over a hundred appearances with thirty-one goal contributions.

The former Black Stars play will join a growing list of players (Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Firmino, Ngolo Kante, and Kalidou Koulibaly) from Europe to swap sides to the Saudi Professional League.
