The Ministry of Sports has settled bonuses owed to the Black Queens following their qualification to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The Black Queens were owed bonuses that dated back to the end of July, after they finished third in the 2024 WAFCON tournament in Morocco. Ghana international Joseph Aidoo made a long-awaited return to the field over the weekend as Celta Vigo secured a 3-2 victory over Osasuna in the Spanish La Liga. Accra Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars shared the points in week seven of the ongoing Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium. Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have announced the mutual termination of head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle’s contract.  The club confirmed the decision in an official statement released on Facebook shortly after the game, describing the move as a “mutual agreement.” “Nations FC has mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith. We thank them for their service to the club. The club will not make any further comment,” the statement read.
