Medeama SC attacker, Zakaria Mumuni, has opened up about his near-death experience following a collision with Berekum Chelsea’s Edwin Akuffo in a  midweek action of the recently finalized Ghana Premier League 2021/22 season.

The winger was given the required medical attention by health professionals on duty at the time before he was later whisked to the hospital for further assessment.

According to the player in an exclusive interview with saharafootball.net, he was in between life and death at the time the incident happened but was glad he pulled through this experience.

“When they arrived on the pitch, I was lifeless, so our physio, James Commey, administered first aid on me because I didn’t know what was going on around me at the time.

It was later on that, I regained consciousness at the hospital, then I asked people around me about my location only to be told I was at the hospital.

I can only be thankful to God for seeing me through such an experience, my family and close friends were really sacred if you ask me ” Zakaria Mumuni told Saharafootball.net

The player traveled with his teammates to Accra and underwent several MRI scans, CT scans, and other laboratory tests.

Zakaria Mumuni teamed up with Medeama SC from Congolese outfit, AS Vita, some two seasons ago, an integral fixture in aiding the team to the 2nd spot on the log.
