Zakaria Mumuni delighted with win over Dreams FC

Medeama SC newly-signed talented winger, Zakaria Mumuni is overly delighted with his contributions in a 2-0 victory over fellow Ghana Premier League club Dreams FC at the Tarkwa T&A Park.

The versatile winger was handed his debut last week by head coach, Yaw Preko in which they lost to then table toppers, Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium but in his home debut, he made it count the most when he assisted fellow new signing, Ahmed Toure’s second goal with a sumptuous free-kick.

The 23-year old is one of many players, who were recruited in the just-ended transfer window to propel the Mauve and Yellow outfit to its first Ghana Premier League trophy.

In an interview with Saharafootball.net after his side’s victory, he shared his thoughts on the overall game stating it’s difficult but in the end their triumph.

“It was a tough game in general and we manage to utilize our chances and they also have some good chances as well,” he said

When queried further about his performance on the day, he shared that with a glowing smile on his face,

“For my performance, it was good, you’ll admit that I have been out of action for a while now but gradually with the games coming thick and fast I will keep improving match after match,

” I nearly scored today, but unfortunately my opponent(Suleiman) kicked me, which resulted in a red card, I am proud of today’s personal and team effort”.
