Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Richard Ofori couldn’t contain his excitement as his team emerged victorious in the MTN FA Cup final over AmaZulu.

The host got their noses in front through Monnapule Saleng in the 25th minute and had to hold on to clinch the title to the admiration of their fans.

Captain of the side, Richard Ofori, who doubles as a goalkeeper for the Ghana BlackStars was full of praise for his fellow players and technical team for how they reposed confidence in him in the face of his reoccurring injury crisis.

In a post-match interview after his side clinch the victory, when queried about making the 55-man squad list, he remarked  “I thank God for making it possible for me to be in Ghana’s World Cup provisional squad. When we get to the World Cup, we will push and make Africa proud.” – he ended.

Otto Addo released a 55-man squad list which will be trimmed down to 26 prior to the World Cup slated for Qatar.

Ghana will lock horns with Switzerland in the ultimate pile of games in the lead-up to the global tournament.

The BlackStars will challenge for honors against Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea at the World Cup.
