    Ghana BlackStars coach Otto Addo named his finalized squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup slated for Qatar, in 2022.



    Last week, the BlackStars head coach named his initial 55squad list with the intention of trimming it down to a further 26-man squad before the tournament kick starts later this month in Qatar. 

    In the course of the week names such as Joseph Painstil, Mubarak Wakaso, Bernard Terkpetey, and Felix Afena Gyan, were told of their exclusions whiles minor injuries to BlackStars goalkeepers, Richard Ofori, Wollacott as well as Baba Iddrissu saw them ruled out of their final squad announcement. 

    In the wake of the squad announcement, a lot of clubs across Europe and Ghana whose players made the squad have deservedly congratulated them on making it to the World Cup.

    The London-based midfielder and vice-captain of the BlackStars was duly acknowledged by his club, Arsenal for making Otto Addo’s finalized squad ahead.

    SALISU MOHAMMED

    After several calls and persuasions, Salisu Mohammed heeded to advise and is Qatar bound, his World Cup appearance has seen his club in Southampton congratulate him on that milestone.

    JOSEPH AIDOO.

    Spanish side Celta Vigo have reacted to the inclusion of defender Joseph Aidoo to the Black Stars squad ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

    Aidoo has been named in Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the tournament which begins in Qatar in six days’ time.

     Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been congratulated by his club on making the final cut for the World Cup.

    DANLAD IBRAHIM 

    Danlad Ibrahim surprisingly made the squad after injuries to Joojo Wollacott and Richard Ofori will miss the tournament.

    Ghana is housed in Group H, which contains Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
