    Willian swaps Chelsea for Arsenal

Brazilian winger, Willian has swapped Chelsea F. C for Arsenal F. C this week ahead of the new English Premier League season.

This latest move comes on the back of the 31-year-old’s representatives and Chelsea failing to agree on a three-year deal requested by the Wideman and his camp.

This deal sees the Brazilian end his seven-year association with the Blues walking out as a free agent, as his existing deal with the club ended some weeks ago.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard personally appealed to the conscience of the top hierarchy to succumb to the demands of the player but it looked as though the board had other ideas.

With the signings of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, and the imminent arrival of Kai Havertez, the board were said to be looking at young, flamboyant, and results-oriented lads for the future, hence their refusal to heed to Willians demands.

Willian won two league titles, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Europa League at Chelsea.

He however plays in next seasons Champions League with his new club Arsenal, who recently pipped his about to be former club, Chelsea to win their 14th FA Cup in the club’s history.
