William Dankyi has left Accra  Hearts of Oak in the just-ended season following the non-renewal of his deal with the club.

The young defender joined the club four years ago from Liberty Professionals, who have since been relegated from the Ghana Premier League but failed to establish himself as a first-choice left-back often playing second fiddle to the departed Congolese Raddy Ovouka.

Since joining the capital-based side, Denkyi went on to make 38 appearances over a 4-year span largely blighted by a number of injuries.

During his stint with Hearts of Oak, he was part of the Championship-winning team that won the treble under Samuel Boadu as well as this season’s 2022 MTN FA CUP.
