Razak Simpson has suggested that the BlackStars’ current challenges are only temporal and that the team will bounce back stronger.

Simpson was handed a call-up and given a rare opportunity of starting games against Angola and Niger in the absence of regular starters, Alex Djiku, Salisu, and Abdul Mumin.

Though the Black Stars fell short of qualifying for 2025 AFCON, the Nations FC defender’s performance went unnoticed in both games.

Speaking to Sahara Football, the defender opined that he hopes the team gets back to its best soon.

“Since day one that I was called to the national team, I have already made my mind up and was ready if I’ll even play 1min, so I was calm and ready for anything and asked God for assistance and of course with the help of Jordan, Kudus, Alidu and other senior players there made me even more composed to go out there and play”.

He added that he was looking to improve in several areas as a young defender.

“I still want to improve, so I’m still learning, and even though we didn’t qualify we are BLACK STARS and we’ll come back Strong “
