    Golden Kick player, Zakaria Mumuni has praised the team’s effort in their shocking victory over Hearts of Oak in a thrilling MTN FA Cup game at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

     



    The home side touted as the underdogs coming into this game was not swayed by the superiority of their opponents, Hearts of Oak.

    They held the Phobians to a goalless draw in either half of the game to force a penalty shout where they edged it, 4-3 to advance to the quarter-finals for the first time in the competition.

    Speaking to SaharaFootball.net after the game, experienced figurehead, Zakaria Mumuni attributed the win to team effort.

    “For me, I have been here before so I know what it feels like. The young ones were determined to make history, I’m happy we fought as a team to the end” he ended.

    Mumuni is a household name in Ghana football having plied his trade with several Ghana Premier League clubs such as WAFA SC, Aduana Stars, Medeama SC, and others.

    He will hope to guide the young team following their advancement to the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
