Elmina Sharks continued from where they left off last weekend after posting a 1-0 victory over King Faisal to pick up an all-important point against Accra Hearts of Oak in-game week 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Elmina-based are seriously battling relegation and as things stand now they occupy the last spot on the log with 19 points.

The away side went down to the Phobians in the first few minutes of the game through a Samuel Inkoom free-kick but had to rally from the goal down as a carefully threaded pass from the skillful, Ishmael Antwi put Michael Asamoah on goal, who made no mistake to slot past Richmond Ayi in post for the home side to pull them level aiding them to pick a point in the end.

Speaking to Saharafootball.net after the encounter, Ishmael Antwi recounts how difficult a duel it was for him and his teammates against the defending champions.

“The game was very tough at the first half especially when they scored their goal within 1st minute,  We had to double up our game because we couldn’t afford to lose the game and with the help of my team and the seriousness within we equalized it before we went for the first half break”

The highly-rated attacking gem when queried further on his team’s quest for survival was optimistic about the chances of beating the drop.

“Sure that’s all that we are hoping and praying for, we want to stay in the league and with hard work we will” he ended.

Ishmael Antwi has found the back of the net on 4 different outings in 10 games with an assist to his credit, as they will be at home to RTU next weekend.
