Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson is fired up for the final hurdle against Uganda.

The Ghanaian female side managed to beat their South African side away from home by a Priscilla Mensah goal to nil, 3-2 on aggregate, to book their place in the final round game of qualification games.

Speaking to JoySports after the team touched down at the airport, head coach Sampson opined his team are ready for the Uganda game.

“[Victory over South Africa] was so important. We want to go to the World Cup, and we knew that we had to beat South Africa [after our 2-2 draw in Accra] and then go into the next round of the qualifiers.”

“We have done it, and now we are extremely happy.

“[The game against Uganda] is a big deal. Our objective is to go to the World Cup.

“Now we have Uganda as the last hurdle, so we will prepare ourselves and make sure we outweigh them, too.”

The Princesses will play Uganda in May, 2026.
