“We fought a good fight ” – Albert Amoah

Great Olympics hat trick hero Albert Amoah has expressed immense delight following his hat trick against Aduana Stars in game week twenty-three of the ongoing Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.



The 22-year-old began his hat trick after Isaac Mensah had placed the Accra-based side into an early lead.

He scored two goals within a seven minutes interval in the first half and followed up another goal in the 72nd minute to wrap his hatrick up for the game.

In an exclusive interview with, Saharafootball.net after the game, he admonished the team spirit within the playing body as the catalyst in aiding them chalk the win over Aduana Stars at home.

“We fought a good fight, through God we did something unique today. I want to acknowledge the efforts of my teammates for this win because after losing two consecutive games, it wasn’t easy for us but with teamwork, hard work, and determination we were able to win for the fans”

On how he feels after recording a hat trick, he opined “I am grateful to God for helping me, hopefully, this is the start of many good things to come. He ended with a smile.  

The forward has scored three in six games for the former Ghana Premier League champions and will hope to start many more games for the club.

Great Olympics sealed the win in a six-goal thriller, which aids them up to 10th on the log, 31 points, and will travel away to Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Sports Complex in Abrankese.
