Captain of the senior national team, BlackStars, Jordan Ayew has openly backed the current squad of the team.
According to him, the BlackStars squad has immense quality, hence no need for any major additions ahead of the World Cup.

“I think the players who played during the qualifiers have done extremely well. I don’t think we need any additions. I believe we have a good team and, as time goes on, we are improving. We haven’t had much time to train together, but the unity is getting better, and everything is improving,” he told Adom Sports in an exclusive interview.
The BlackStars have a series of friendly games lined up against Austria at the Ernst Happel Stadium, Vienna (Austria) on March,27, Germany at the MHP Arena, Stuttgart (Germany) on March,30, Mexico in May 2026: Ghana vs Mexico (venue and exact time still to be confirmed, likely in Mexico and Wales in June,2026.

Ghana is making it’s fifth participation at the World Cup in the North Americas and will hope to begin the contest with a win against Panama, in Toronto, before taking on England and Croatia.
