Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic is not bothered about meeting Ghana at the group stage of the World Cup.
Croatia has been pitted against Ghana, England, and lowly-rated Panama in Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup draw.
Dalic, who has led his side to second- and third-place finishes at the last two editions, said, “We don’t care too much about Ghana. I know Asamoah Gyan; he played with me in Al Ain. I know it will be a very tough game; the Ghana team is very strong and tough. I know your ambition is to pass the group stage,” he told Sporty FM.
Croatia has never lost to an African team at the World Cup. They have won three and drawn once in four meetings with African teams.
They will play England on June 17, Ghana on June 23, and later Panama in the final group game on June 27, 2026.
